Ross Team

In 1949, a mortgage banking company opened in Michigan with a clear understanding of what was needed today: to treat every customer with honesty, integrity and in a friendly and caring way. That corporation became Ross Mortgage, independently owned by father and son, Chairman Hugh Ross and President Tim Ross.

From a single branch startup, in 1983, Hugh and Tim Ross have built the enterprise into a multi-branch, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae approved full service mortgage banking company. In 1986, Ross Mortgage acquired Michigan Mortgage Corporation. Along with the servicing and portfolio and personnel, Ross assumed all that belonged to Michigan Mortgage, including their 1949 date of incorporation. As a result, Ross Mortgage Corporation celebrated 50 years of service to Michigan homebuyers in 1999.

Ross operates throughout the tri-county, Washtenaw and Kalamazoo areas from over 10 locations and ranks as one of the top independent lenders in the state of Michigan. As a full service mortgage banking company Ross underwrites using experienced staff or through automated underwriting systems provided by Fannie Mae’s DeskTop Underwriter (DU). Ross Mortgage prepares all documentation required for closing and funds the mortgage loans using its own lines of credit. As a result, Ross delivers superior service and pricing to the customer since it retains complete control over the entire transaction.
